      Design Zaven
      The open version of Koala highlights the graphic quality of the tubular metal frame, which traces the shape of the seat in an enveloping embrace – hence the name Koala, inspired by the Australian marsupial known for its close bond with its young.
      The cylindrical upper padding offers comfortable back support while leaving the backrest to breathe, achieving a harmonious balance of full and void. The vibrant upholstery colours make it easy to incorporate the piece into a range of settings, without compromising its contemporary spirit.

      A Venice-based design studio founded in 2008 by Enrica Cavarzan and Marco Zavagno. They operate at the crossroads of product design, graphic design, interior design and art direction. For Zaven, design is an analytical process: each project is driven by extensive research taking form in the final product. Whether it is an object of everyday use or a visual communication project, Zaven always aims for formal clarity. The studio has initiated numerous collaborations with creatives from different contexts and holds classes and workshops in various universities, academies and design schools, while in latests year, the projects of the studio as been exhibited in Museums and exhibition worldwide.
